Pick MySQL in the wizard for both MySQL and MariaDB; they use the same driver.

• Use TLS / SSL, with Verify server certificate to reject untrusted certificates.
• URLs: mysql:// (use it for MariaDB too).
• SSH tunnels are supported.

Databases

In MySQL a database and a schema are the same thing, so the sidebar has one Database menu, with New database….

MySQL tools

• Objects: functions, procedures and triggers in the sidebar.
• Enum columns: a menu of values when editing, and Edit enum values… on the column.
• Table size in the Structure tab.

Performance

• Trace: Live and recording need PROCESS to see other users' queries. Blocks reads performance_schema.data_lock_waits (MySQL 8). Top reads performance_schema statement digests.
• Visual plan from EXPLAIN FORMAT=JSON.
• Speed up this query.
