Trino

Talks to every database at the party.
Connecting
| Field | Default | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Host | localhost | |
| Port | 8080 | |
| Catalog | Optional; Lily picks the first non-system catalog | |
| User | trino | |
| Password | Optional |
- Use HTTPS for anything but a local server. Lily refuses to send a password over plain HTTP, even through an SSH tunnel, so a password needs HTTPS.
- URLs:
trino://, with the catalog as the path. - SSH tunnels are supported.
Catalogs and schemas
The sidebar's first menu is Catalog (from SHOW CATALOGS), then Schema. Queries can join across catalogs as Trino allows.
What works
- The query editor, results, charts, export and the AI features (Understand, Ask, generation, Investigate, and Change with AI within what the connector supports).
- Trace Live and recording from
system.runtime.queries, with kill throughsystem.runtime.kill_query. - Text Explain.
Limits
- Trino reports no primary keys, so tables open in the read-only grid and paging uses
OFFSET. - No visual plan, Blocks, Top or Health Check.
- Run in Transaction depends on the connector.
- No ER diagram lines, since Trino has no declared foreign keys.
Playground
